Fluval SP2 - Question

I'm looking to purchase 2 Fluval SP2 returns. Specs indicate it's 7" wide and this must include the detachable base. I must place them side by side in my sump but only have 10" to spare. Does anyone know the width of the pump without the base. I called Marine Depot but they did not have the info and I tried calling the mfg but no call back. Thanks in advance if anyone has the info

If anything like my SP4 the base is quite huge. On my SP4 it adds almost another half a pump to the width.

You won't regret getting the pump though. Mine ran for a day without water accidentally and it kept on chucking like nothing ever happened. Moves tons of water with quite a bit of head pressure too.

Here ya go.

Those specs you saw are crazy. My sp6 is perhaps 7 inch wide. The sp2 is barely 7 inches long

FWIW, you can't remove the base on these pumps and have them sit on the bottom of the sump becaue the bottom isn't flat nor are the sides. As mentioned above, the width of the pumps including the base is less than 4" or about 4". You won't have an issue standing two side by side in the sump if you have 10" width. They are big pumps but they are one of the best non pressure AC style pumps you can buy. Especially for the price.
