Hey all, does anyone have any suggestions as to where to look in Wisconsin for some good camping and fly fishing (stream/trout fishing) over memorial day weekend for a uninformed wife and I (we're Idaho transplants and are yet to explore any wilderness in the midwest after 2.5 years here )

Any suggestions welcome, hopefully we'll get more than a few otherwise we might just have to pick up a kiddy pool and some goldfish and make due in the untamed wilderness that is the Lakeview area....

I am not a fly fisherman, although I have done a little in that past along side some real fly fisherman. Since you in Chicago, the Pier Marquette river in Michigan is considered a great place to fly fish. Kind of a long drive, but if your looking to fly fish, its probably worth it. Memorial day might be tough to get a campsite.

Better yet, go to a fly shop and they'll provide good recommendations

You can also contact the WI DNR or go on their site and they can tell you where is best. I called them about snowmobile trails and they sent me maps and etc of hundreds of their best trails. You can also call their travel and tourism board for that info.
