well on sunday i was playing test drive unlimited 2 and my gf was next to me playing nintendo ds. all the sudden i heard a noise. i asked my gf if she heard anything and she said no. i heard the noise agiain and asked her again. she said no.

i felt like something was up. i want over to the nearest of 3 tanks and did a head count. i was missing one!!!

i looked all arouns the tanks and found my Cockatoo waspfish on the floor!!! i did not understand how he got out. i have a lexan lid on the tank custom fit by me to just let the equipment in.

i ran and grabbed a net(i was in panic to save him i almost tried to grab him with my hands). i scooped him up back in the net. then put him back in the tank and watched him for a bit to make sure no other fish decided to do anything to him.

he made a full recovery.

the funny part is. their is a new tank in the making and he was going to be the fist out of the old into the new. at the time he was 1 week away from the new tank. he is now 3 days away.

what a sunday. lol

he has made a full cecovery after his carpet surfing ordeal and is eating well. even eats out of my hand(not recomended)

Like many of us, you're finding out that all of these fish "nobody ever considered to be jumpers" will fool you (I know some of our fish have surprised the bejeezus outta me).

Your comments regarding how best to pick the wayward fish up reminded me of the time Renee heard one of our fuzzies jump in the middle of the night and o'l sleepy Greg was trying to find the fish and not get poked in the process at 3 AM.

Glad your cockatoo made it...they really hold a special place in my heart.

yeah i really like him. hes cool to watch. and a halarious swimmer.

INORITE?

I'm guessing yours is in that spastic "I'm having a really hard time keeping my place in the water column" stage...ours learned that if it relaxes, it can actually swim pretty well and can hover. The red fins never bother swimming very much at all.

Either way, they're one trippy little fish...
