Ocean reef miser six stage ro/di 150 gpd

guys, As I told you on post #97 ((( http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showpost.php?p=18739977&postcount=97 )))

I bought the "OCEAN REEF MISER SIX STAGE RO/DI 150 GPD" from The Filter Guys - www.thefilterguys.biz and finally decided to install it.

That's the final result - I place everything in a board:

And that's is detailed description:
1 - 5 micron poly sediment filter - eliminates sediment (sand) and protects the booster pump

2 - Aquatec 8800 booster pump. This pump turns on whenever the the pressure falls below around 45PSI - always!

2a - AQUATEC 8800 Power adapter/transformer for the booster pump, auto-flush timer valve and auto-shutoff switch.

3 - 1 micron poly sediment filter

4 - 5 Micron Matrikx 'Workhorse' - first activated carbon block - gets rid of
chlorine chloramine and some organic chemicals

5 - 0.6 Micron Matrikx chlorine guzzle - second activated carbon block -

6 - 100 PSI pressure gauge. The gauge is located between the output side of pre-filters and input site of RO membranes. At this position the gauge shows when pressure falls, due to pre-filters are clogged or clogging.

7 - firt RO membrane: 75 GPD Dow Filmtec

8 - second RO membrane: 75 GPD Dow Filmtec

9 - Auto-flush timer valve - Upon system start-up and every hour thereafter, the 24 VAC normally closed solenoid valve automatically "power-flushes" the membrane at full pump flow, for 18 seconds every hour. Turbulent water action scrubs organic and inorganic contaminants from the membrane surface, extending membrane life and efficiency.

10 - 8800 AUTO SHUTOFF SWITCH (Pressure Switch) - it turns off the Booster Pump when the tank is full.

11 - Dual TDS meter

11a - first reading of TDS - after the RO membrane - indicating the condition of the membrane

12 - the first of two DI filters

11b - second reading of TDS - after the first DI filters - indication when the resin is exhausted

13 - the second DI filter

wow, i havent been getting my updates....

(i was on a Bowing 777 for 12 hours when i went to visit my father (working over seas) and we got stuck in the middle of the plane. i was on the outside (im 6'7" and my legs wouldnt fit in the chair so i was hanging out in the isle... my wife was next to me, and the guy next to her took her arm rest and was leaning in her seat sleeping, so needless to say, my wife didnt sleep (nor did i) and being up for 12 hours prior to the flight.... she was glad to find a bed and sleep..... (we lost our baggage too.. lol long story)

I nearly died laughing at this. Please tell me you did 'push' him away!!! :deadhorse: :headwally: :headwalls: :headwallblue: :debi: :deadhorse1: :blown:

after a stressful period on my work, I came back with a vengeance :strooper:

btw, when I came back to BR, in the same flight were the entire US female national soccer team - college, can you believe on that? how lucky was I?!?!

Hi Vlado, did you saw our soccer teams??? shame on us!!!! :headwallblue:

here in my home I have both 120v/220v - all the equipment are 120v/60Hz, unfortunately electricity is not for free... :debi:

converter is not an option for pumps and other items, they'll damage in long-term. A friend of mine just got a Red Devil pump on Germany and when he come back to BR tried to use a converter/adapter, can you imagine what happened? just B.U.R.N.E.D - ****! :headwalls:

do you live in BA DC? I got over there a lot of times!!! amazing city!

Soccer was a subject i didn´t wanted to get into ... :uzi:

I do live in Bs As, but only 10´ away from Ezeiza Airport. Thank god i don´t live in the city ... way to crouded for my taste.

Once again all the best in that set up ... looks like you have all planned out. Amazing !! Keep the pics coming

Did you used anything to accelerate the cycle phase?

No, actually I was very fortunate to get some really awesome rock. I started my cycle for 2-3 days with only packaged LS, then about 22lbs of LR. It cycled in about a week, which is very fast! I got a pretty ugly diatoms bloom, but the addition of a light CUC and some patience took care of that pretty fast.

I get a little cyano still here and there, but I've cut my feedings and my light schedule back to take care of that too.

Thanks again my friend! Just stay tuned and when you have some time to get here, be my guess!
