FMAS August Meeting - Julian Sprung

This month we are very proud to have Julian Sprung as a speaker. Julian is a long time member and club supporter. Julian has written many books including "The Reef Aquarium" (3 volumes), "Reef Notes", and many others. At this meeting Julian will most likely hold a book signing. The meeting is free for all to attend. It will be held at the New River Middle School Library, 3100 Riverland Rd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312 on August 22nd @ 7:15. As usual, there will be a frag/livestock auction. Please bring any frags you may have to help out.

Are you kidding, this is the "you can't miss Meeting"of the year, you will see people from "far far away" coming to this meeting.
Be there early, I am sure that this meeting is going to be pack with people plus, some of us will be taking to the auction the live stock that was not sold on the swap making this auction a very nice & large one as well.

Will the badges be ready for those who signed up from frag swap, and since this will be my first time what is the setup for the auction is it a true auction?

That sounds so awesome. I wish I could go, but I will be in Belize. Julian is a great speaker and he came up here to our SRC a year ago.

yes, true auction, members will be bring their frags and register them prior to the meeting, you also rgister and get a number for the right to bid, Bid start as soon as the meeting is over, 3 call rule, the profits are split 50/50 with the club.

Man I really want to attend this meet, it would be my 1st meet with the exception of the frag swap, which really doesn't count IMO. Maybe I'll get lucky and he will celebrate it on a sat.

If I remember correctly and you are the other Asian guy in the swap, then your brother should celebrate on Sat. in Iggy. Then you can come out to the meet.

bwhahahaha... iggy. I'm 21, he is gunna be like 18... so no iggy unless he wants to borrow the ID. I think I will tell him to have it on sat. and i'll throw a nice little party for him. too bad he doesnt like the strippy... hahaha.
