FMAS Frag Swap and Sale

It will be in the afternoon. Probably around 1 or 2 pm. We are working it all out now.

There will be soda's and water at the frag swap.

It will be held at the Davie Womans Club.

To get to the Davie Woman's Club, 6551 Orange Drive, Davie, Florida:

From I95, take I595 West to Davie Road (NOT DAVIE BLVD). Head south about a mile to Orange Drive. Go west one block and the club is on your right. Turn right just before the club and park in the first or second lot. You can also park along the Orange Drive across from the club or in the grass beside the club.

From I75 or the Sawgrass Expressway, head East on I595 to Davie Road, follow above directions from there.

From Florida's Turnpike (SR 91), take the Griffin Road exit just south of I595 exit. Go west on Orange Drive (on the north side of the canal from Griffin Road). The club is 1.5 miles on the right, just past Davie Road.

I will be bringing some sps, frogspawn and maybe a few zoanthus.

You can sign up at the next meeting. I would like to get a rough head count of how many people are bringing frags so I can set up tables.

I would be interested in checking it out. I havent joined the club yet, nor do I have anything yet to swap. Who's invited to this thing? Just club members?

Nope, It is open to anybody who wants to come, I think if you want to sell and you are not a member there may be a small fee but other than that this is a great chance to get to meet the club family and to purchase some great corals at even better prices.
I will be bringing frags from most of my corals this should be a lot of fun, can't wait!

Hey Rogger...hows the tank doing? Did you get all the big fish you wanted out of the big tank and fill it with smaller ones yet! Post pics when its done! Can't wait to see it!!

FYI the Frag Swap and Meet this year will combine the usual frag swap with the aquarium equipment garage sale.So don't forget to bring used dry goods as well that you would like to sell or swap.I'll need a table for myself and wife Treeman.I'll have xenias,zooanthids,acros,montiporas,toadstool,colts,sinularia,skimmers,sumps,and an older chiller that runs like a champ.And some other dry goods that I will never use.I'll be looking for a ozone machine, reactor and lots of acros.Especially pink ones.

Also the frag swap is open for everyone and all our welcomed.It's a free event for members and non-members will be charged 7.50 and commercial people will be charged 12.50 at the door and that get's you into the frag swap and a half a year membership with FMAS as renewals start in January and we want everyone on the same page.Members must bring there 2006 name badges to get in free.

No, not yet, the triggers are still in my tank, they are waiting for their new home to be built, in the meantime they seem to have started to mate againg I wouldn't be surprise if one changes back to the female colors again, they were doing their court dance tonight.

You got it Rogger.She doesn't get the whole SPS thing as she enjoys the movement of softies.So we will keep 2 other tanks for softies but I plan on converting her over to SPS with color. Or go broke trying. :lolspin:

I have a question, Not this past meeting, but the previous one, I donated some giant anthelia to the auction to pay for my membership, but I never got "2006 name badge" - I had to leave early as I had to work - maybe this is why? If someone can answer this I would appreciate it. I will definately be bring some frags, I will see what I can spare at the time (my tank was only started about 1-2 months ago) - probably some of my zoo's, xenia, and hopefully some sps if they grow much.

I have some frags of zoo's and xenia for sure, I am hoping to be able to frag some of my sps by that time. What do we have to bring besides the frags.. Tank, lighting, filtration?
