Oh the red hatchback. I saw it on my way out. I rarely drive my car anywhere, I was rolling my parents lex since they went out fo town. :)

Yeah thats the one, cant say much but I will say this SUB 11's daily driven full interior....:eek2: the car is a beast.....I refuse to be a passenger in it. lol

BTW, Im still trying to figure out the names of some of the things I bought, espeacially the anemone, bought it from back corner table. Looks beautiful, just trying to figure out species and feeding schedule.

Cant wait till next event.

I don't remember seeing anenomes. I know alot of new reef aquarists get confused with frogspawns as anenomes as I always have to tell customers at work that Frogspawns are corals and not anenomes although they are very similar, there requirements are alot different. If you purchased this piece from the 12g aquapod (The little tank I was selling out of), its a green base, purple tipped frogspawn. The requirements aren't alot for it, they like moderate to high lighting, moderate to low flow and they are filter feeding corals.

No the back table (Left side if you are just walking in the main door) had an anenome or two in bags for sale, white or yellow or tan Flower Anenomes.

Matt (treeman) was selling those I believe.
Of course I bought more than I sold :) I got a gorgeous acro that opened up right away in my tank from Morgan and Johnny, has bright neon green tips. Rogger, that Blasto is very cool aswell and all the other corals I got. Great event, great organisation thanks everybody!

flower anemones do not need to be fed. They'll get their nutrition right out of the water. They CAN be fed, however, and love silversides. Best results would be out of 1/4 silverside every 3 days... feel free to experiment. You pretty much cant kill these things. And maroon clowns love them.

Thanks to everyone who helped me break down my tanks today, by buying my corals. I hope they do as well in your tanks as they did in mine. (By the way, I'm the guy with the ziplock baggies). If you got something rarer from me, I like updates on how they're doing.

It was great seeing so many people joining up today, and if you didn't get a chance, the membership drive at Big Al's is sure to go well. See you all at the next meeting!

I can second that it was Matt with the flower anemonies.

I thought this was a great event and was very pleased with the turnout. (Back to my water change :) )

was amazing thanks all for everything. I think we should have them every 3 months. Was a great showing. You guys did a great job of setting everything up.

I think having it once a year is a better choice as it leaves more desire for people to show up... knowing alot of people will have something to sell. Every three months, not everyone has things for sale due to growth rate/speed of some corals. Maybe one every six months? I wish my corals grew fast enough to have one everything 3 months though, that would be great, but I am afraid I would go broke and have to move my tank into a 4'x4' cardboard box with no electricity... not exactly sure how tolerant my sps would be to that :)

Once every six months would actually be a very good idea. I think once a year is a long time.

Mainly because I don't want to wait a year for good deals on corals. :p

Yes, I had the flower/rock anenomes. You can feed them just about anything (cyclopeze, pellets, silverside etc)

I want to thank everybody for the help they gave to put this on.

And I want to say that it was great to see so many people turn out for this. That is what made it so great.

Because of the great turn out we have already started talking about the next one. It will have to be at a bigger venue, like it was mentioned above. We have been throwing around November or February.

Thanks again everybody!

OH! to all the people that didn't make it. You guys missed out on some killer deals. Gotta make the next one.

There was someone selling a green bubble tip anemone! I remember it because I picked up and some guy next to me said it was a nice piece. It was the table with the asian guy and the girl. She said she grows corals and sells them for a living. Forgot who... they were in the corner right when u walk in. Mike, they were on your left side and Rogger was on your right.

Some nice pieces, I wish I would have picked up more. I spent less then I thought which is great. Lots of zoos I picked up and a trumpet coral.

Great people, Great times. I think we or whomever should arrange a November swap... btw my birthday is that month. ;)

Everything has opened nicely in my tank. Thanks to Matt, Morgan and Mike for the nice pieces and even better, the prices. It would be great if this could be held every six months.

I jsut wanted to thank the club for the great frag-swap. I was the big guy in the lime green shirt. My tank is only about 6 months old and i had very little in it, after all my new frags grow out i will have a good assortment. Now i know why people start collecting Zoas, i now have green, purple, pink, orange... The toadstool opened up and is happy, whoever i bought it from. :) The zenia is pulsing slowy, i hope it establishes itself and grows. The red Lobophyllia is looking good under my lights.

Casey, the Aquacontroller Jr is installed and working great! I love it, replaced all my mechanical timers & is slowly correcting my PH level with the program i gave it via my computer. I figured out the dosing pump, its installed already too. :)

Please dont start these every 3 months, ill go broke!

wow, don u must of spent at least $400 bucks! If I knew Casey was bringing the controller I would have brought money to pick it up.

I spent waaayyyy too much, slightly under 500$. I should have known better than to hit the $400 button on the ATM before comming.. :P

that aquacontroller jr is really cool though, im going to setup a web cam and link it on my web site so i have live updates when i go out of town.

I had a good time today! Picked up an acan, favia, several ricordeas (green, orange, blue?), a little blue zenia, and a dark purple montipora. I couldn't help a quick stop at Reef's Edge afterward, and snagged a green/purple platygyra (maze brain). Everything will stay in my 10g coral QT for a few weeks while I look for pests - yep, I'm one of those "QT everything" nut-jobs. :D

I was looking for a small BTA, didn't see any though.

Craig, I keep two RBTAs in my display, and they split every 3 months almost like clockwork. They just split, but I have already found homes for this round (trades and repaying past favors). Keep in touch and I should have more in 2-3 months.

Here's a shot of my parent stock:

I second (or third, or fourth) the idea to do this more than annually. Hopefully, next time I'll have frags to sell/trade, not just buy. :D

Brian, if you don't have any moonlights yet, I will be bringing a BRAND NEW set of "The Lobos" moonlights, got them before I realized that my new tank came with some (they where so fancy, I didn't realize it)
Andrea...wow I forgot to look at the moonlights.....did you get to sell them.?If not I may take them for a price....:)Pm me with a price

Thanks everyone! I nearly sold out. I came with a car full of stuff and left with 3 boxes. The aquacontroller jr is amazing. Without a doubt the best thing I ever bought for my tank.

Casey
