If you are a club member and you would like a table, your membership must be up to date, and you must let us know by February 24th.

We are also still accepting commercial sponsorships. The membership and table fee is $100, and must be paid by February 24th.

Love the college student membership price! :)

Do you know how big each table will be for members? I want to get an idea of what I am working with.

Thanks

-Matthew

It's the cafeteria tables at New River Middle School. We don't know yet if hobbyists will get a whole table or a half. It will depend on how many folks want tables.

If you would like a table, we need to know your full name so we can match it up with your membership, and a valid email address. Thanks!

Jeff is the PayPal account set up yet? if so, how much would I have to transfer to renew my membership? I am interested in a table.

Paypal is in progress as we speak. Its 20$ to renew your single-member membership. $30 for family. You can renew at the Feb club meeting or wait for the Paypal. We are trying to get it up before the Feb meeting. Let me know for sure if you want a table.

at the meeting i filled out the paperwork for a table, but just want to double check that I've got one...who do we contact about the tables?

im a college student but would want to bring my dad with me, can i still pay 10 for both of us, he doesnt have a tank but wants to see all this amazing stuff

Keep in mind guys, the goal of this event is to raise awareness of the club and attract new members, but it's also a major fundraiser for the club. The money we collect in membership fees is what drives our activities for the year.

The swap is one of the few events that requires a membership for admission, and that is a deliberate choice. The idea of bringing a non-hobbyist as a free 'guest' is not a bad idea in and of itself, but it's ripe for abuse if someone wanted to take advantage of the club. I'll bring it up with the board and see what everyone thinks.

If you filled out the paperwork at a previous meeting, you're in.

Also, we should be able to do something to adjust your membership, remind me at the next meeting.

Jeff, I agree totally. If you make one exception, you'll have to make many. And, besides, it is a fundraiser so everyone who enters should pay. Most clubs or seminars cut a break to the actual member and charge more for those who are not members (to encourage non-members to join).

i got the same question.. how long till i can use paypal?

It's going to be at least a few more weeks. It's not just a matter of creating a paypal account. We have to integrate it with a web form on our site, create a membership database, and reconcile payments with member records, while keeping all of this secure. Once everything's in place, we have to test the heck out of it to make sure it's reliable. It's a bit of work, and everyone involved has a day job, too.

i only ask because my wife would go even though she's not very interested in it. she's just gonna be there so i dont spend to much ;) it no problem though, i dont mind giving a little extra to the club though :)
