Going to have to add a New Years resolution for this year and that is to make it to at least 10 out of the 12 monthly meetings scheduled for 2011!!

Rogger's always has great advice and info, he has always been a great source of referrence for me even from my reef keeping beginings many years ago... and that raffle is insane!

Wow. Great speaker, and amazing raffle. Can't wait to see what you get for the Miami meetings.

LOL Jimbo- If this is not enough of an enticement to get you guys up here I don't know what is!!! A great speech and an unbelievable raffle (not a donation BTW, the club is buying this).

I'm not picking on you, but info for the rest of the Miami crowd::headwalls:

From the Turnpike and Kendall it is a 30 minute drive to the school. From the Palmetto maybe a little longer. You know I know this cause you've been to my office. I work in South Miami and travel from West Pembroke Pines EVERYDAY.

Travel to the Museum of Science is longer because of Miami traffic.:headwally:

We have folks from the Palm Beach Club coming to almost all our meetings because of what we bring. They drive much longer routes.

We are always looking for ways to improve what we bring to you guys, and yes we are responding to Miami folks in as many ways as we can. :inlove:

Eddie, I would be there if I didn't live near your job and go to work before 3am most days. Remember, I was just getting off when I went by your job the other day.

Ouch Jimbo!! 3AM?!!!

Just trying to encourage the Miami crowd. Its ONCE per month, and I guarantee you its always worth the drive. :bounce3:

so please sign up early I dont want to turn anyone around just because your not a member. Also we have other very nice things coming up this year for the raffle and club events

You can dial down the flow. If its still an issue, upgrade your tank :D

I see no issue there! I am planning to upgrade to a 65 when I move next year.

Eddie, at the meeting Tuesday I want to discuss with you about possibly presenting for a meeting this year. I recently completed the monitoring component of my M.S. thesis - growing staghorn coral in an offshore nursery here in Broward. Another FMAS member and student, Keri O'neil, would present with me as she is currently operating our university's land-based staghorn coral nursery.

Fragments (from at least my project) will soon be donated to the Miami Science Museum for their Caribbean coral frag tank. It would be perfect if we could present in Miami (if we're still in the Science Museum), so that the club could then see in person the fragments grown and donated by our thesis research.

Excellent idea Zach. Well talk Tuesday

so let me see here .....there is usually around 25 or so people there that purchase tickets and everyone would prolly purchase on average $5 in tickets about 125 tickets as everyone doesnt purchase one.......so if I purchased $250 worth of tickets that would give me ........almost a two to one odds of winning a $450 item for almost half price hmmmm tempting lllll.....or maybe just stick with $5 worth and take my chances.....hmmm it paid off with the Typhoon III could it pay off again, this could become a good monthly lotto, I like these odds Eddie .....lol jk see you there
