FMAS Membership Drive - Big Als

This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Aug. 4-6) Big Als will be have a one year anniversary "party". As part of this shindig we will have a Membership drive table in "the tunnel". We will be talking to customers about the club and encouraging them to join. We could use all members help to man the table and talk to customers about the club. We will be there Friday afternoon until close and open to close on Saturday and Sunday. If you can give any time please respond and let me know when you might be able to help. Even if you don't reply and have a chance to stop by that would be great!

I wish I could be there but me and the wife are going to Orlando for a long weekend, and to bring some frags for my brother. It should be pretty good, and we should pick up some good members. At the very least educate people about the proper care of reefs, both natural and artificial....

In case you haven't been there yet, this is Big Al's...

Our fearless leader Robert, manning the membership table...

They had raffles every hour and gave away two 90+ gallon tank setups on Saturday...

The big display tanks are fish only, but there are a few nice reef setups on the sales floor, they have some nice stuff in these...

Of course, I couldn't resist buying something...so I ended up with a little blasto frag...

And a tiny (about 1" long body) mated pair of banded coral shrimp...

I keep missing the new membership events. First the frag swap and now this one. I'll make it out eventually!

20 new memberships that was a combination of families and singles.About 40 that took membership forms and said where coming to the meeting with them filled.And about 80 that said they would check us out especially since Julian was the speaker this month.I'm guessing we should atleast see 50 new faces this month.
