just some thoughts......could you not use salt? as well as sand. Once disolved it would give the foam areas more texture. just a thought taken from the diy rock thread
you could have used salt if you use diy rock and black pond foam like i used in my build. like this. the foam is across the top that had salt on it to match the diy. <BR>

rocks all done now, just needs a little touch up once in the tank.

75kg of rock used.....leaving a lot of swimming space in 180g.

last pic adds the tank dimensions for scale, they are 48x30x30 - a 28" water height with the rock peaking at 29".

looks awesome. how are you going to cure it?

I'm not - theres nothing to cure.

The reef bones are jet washed and as clean as can be and the foam is inert.

I will add it to my display, fill the display then turn on the loop to my sump (which is running already) and bring it online.

More pics in my build thread - not a great vid but you get the idea (can you hear my kids in the background.....i had to tie them up and gag them to keep them quiet while i filmed ;))

Very nice! It looks great. But, I have a question. Why did you use the epoxy to secure the texture? Couldn't you have done that to the foam before it dried?
