Does a foam rock wall need to be sealed?

I used Great Stuff - Pond foam and I was wondering if you had to add a sealant to it or not?

Was it the black.? I'm assuming it was if its the pond foam, in that case no you don't have to do anything to it, just make sure its totally cured before filling for your water test ..

Correct .. I've used it several times in my tanks with no ill effects.. the construction great stuff is a no no in any fish tank, but the pond grade is totally safe.

Wear rubber gloves.. lol, the pond foam doesn't expand as much as the yellow stuff so multiple layers may be in order depending on what your trying to make.. I remember in my 700 gallon reef lagoon I did a 10 foot wall and it was very interesting to get it built up how I wanted it to look.. but all in all its pretty easy..

Well called manufacture and they said it is ok a lot of people use it.
here is some Pic.

I really like the look of the foam walls. Will all corals grow on the foam? Is there any down side to the foam back?

For some reason the upper half of mine disintegrates when the cuc munches on the algae. The whole upper half is open celled now and getting worn down little by little.
