Food Question

I was just wondering since I buy my nori sheets at an asian market some of the frozen/fresh seafood they have there is it suitable for fishfood? They have squid. Could you feed masago eggs as a nutritional source?

Jen, several here make their own frozen from fresh seafood. I am about to start myself. Angela short made a recipe for it.

With the fish in the market, it is best to soak them in RO/DI for a while, as much of it is sprayed with phosphates and other chems to preserve freshness. I have heard of people feeding roe from asian markets, just be careful, as a lot of them are full of not so good "extras"

Pretty awesome man, I will try and take a picture that will do them justice. Tanks and cameras have a crappy relationship.

FYI, publix has live mussels and oysters. I bought 4 mussels, 2 oysters, 4 shrimp and 8 small scallops. ran then thru the chopper with the remainder fo the frozen brine shrimp I had. made a nice stinky seafood smelly mix. put a spoonful in and they are it up. didnt prefer the scallops or the shrimp as they did the others from waht I coudl tell, but all pigged put.

naw.... but they were a PITA to get open thats for sure. I got one of the oysters open no problem, but the second one... I had to take a hammer to it.
