So I typically dont post alot, but given I was looking for a solution to treat ich at some point, Id like to share my experience using CopperPower. I followed the dosing instructions and kept my fish in the same tank for 4weeks. ive also done this to all my new additions with success. Fish respond great, eat well, and show healthy movement.
Depending on the load, I try to do water changes every week or so to keep nitrates/ammonia spikes low. From a bacteria standpoint, Ive never had an issue where copperpower completely wiped my bacteria. It may have impacted the population, but never a complete wipe.
Im sharing this with you guys because I know theres an overwhelming number of copperbased solutions and each has their specific guidelines/pros/cons.
The fish Ive treated were tangs and triggers for the most part.
