For anyone wondering if non-hosting clowns is normal

Ha! My bf's clowns are hosting into a pvc elbow on his return manifold, and I thought that was as weird as it got, but this has it beat!

Beautiful clowns, btw!

Yeah, hosting a vertical black wall(overflow box side) I thought was fairly amusing...unfortunate but amusing. I have a BTA that is at least 6" and they won't touch it.

55G tank, true picassos direct(picked up, hand chosen) from ORA to my favorite lfs owner. The shipping to my lfs took two hours(the drive back), so they were in great shape right away. Love living in FL, going back to ORA for a second tour on March 16th. I love that place, it is so cool. Mine ignore my shroom, spawns, anems, leathers, everything.

I'm thinking I might put a perc that is hosting an anem in there for a day or two to get them to respond to the anem...it worked in another one of my tanks and it would certainly be cool if it worked again. I'm always sketched on doing things like this, but I love to experiment as long as it does not negatively affect my animals.

Try printing off a picture of some clowns hosting in a 'nem. Then tape it to a side of the tank, as close to the 'nem as you can get it. Try that for a few days, see how it works.

Doesn't work...I've tried. I did this and the first day it looked like it may work. Then they became disinterested again. I ended up putting another perc in with them who was hosting in another BTA in another tank. Within seconds they were in there with him. He now needs to come out, though, so that the pair can keep their bond.

My True Perc pair started hosting my Large Magfloat as soon as I took all the RBTAs out and replaced them with a Blue Carpet. Funny how things workout.
