? for reef octopus extreme owners

so I bought a 160 off the selling forum. have had it up since last night. notice alot of micro-bubbles released from the outflow. does this clear up? did I buy a faulty piece of equipment? I have a filter sock over the outflow now to decrease bubbles. it happens no matter what level I adjust the outflow to. it's in about 8 1/2" of water per multiple website suggestions. just want to make sure I didn't hook it up wrong. I didn't receive instructions with it. this is it here:

it will clear in a day or two .took mine about 2 days .no micro bubbles now .but they do a great job skimming .

another thing i forgot to tell you is the grey exhaust line from the skimmer has to be level with water line in the sump do not put it under the water because it has to breath..

is that the horizontal out flow tube? it's out of water by maybe 1-2"

yes horizontal and should be even with water line,its ok to keep it half way covered but not all the way .so the pipe shoul face like its pointing at you not down wards
