Just FYI, those of you who have expressed an interest in the fish, corals and rock have to be gone first so you may not be able to pick them up on the 22nd, just depends on what all sells. However if you are wanting fish you need to stop by on the 22nd to either pay for them or at least put a deposit down.

All Tunze things are sold except controller.
Clam, purple tang, 1 butterfly and all base rock are sold as well.

Live Rock Experience?

Live Rock Experience?

Curious as to how others that bought live rock are doing?

I picked up 50 pounds, kept it in a tote with a powerhead, heater and light for about 10 days before finishing up my tank.

I added this to 20 pounds of live rock that I had along with seeded sand from my biocube, and although I had a few aptasia and mojave anemones I didn't have anything else.

This rock came with both aptasia and mojaves along with bristleworms - all of which were to be expected, especially given it's tenure in the system.

I have, however, been encountering green hair algae, bryopsis algae, and red turf algae that I didn't have before, and have actually never had in any of my tanks.

Anyone else having a similar experience?

Scratch the bryopsis algae, identified as a type of cheato.

Red turf could be a real pain to get rid of!
