For Sale: NEW Neptune Jr. Controller

Within the nest few days I will be ordering a Neptune Jr. controller w/DC8 module. Of course, I will see if the LFS can price match. But in either case I only want the DC8 module. I will use it with my current Neptune controller. That module alone cost $175.00. It is cheaper if I buy it in a package deal. Therefore I am looking to resell the Neptune Jr. controller. If someone has been looking to buy a controller, here is your chance to save $40 on a brand new one. If you let me know before the order, you can choose which model upgrades you want. Otherwise I was just going to order the el cheapo unit (no back-lit display and no pH probe). If no one is interested, then I will just resale the unit on ebay.

These are the best Internet prices I could find. So, you would pay $130 for standard model, or $160 for the back-lit model (plus half S&H and/or taxes if we buy local). A pH probe is only $44.00 more.

So, just to be clear, If I wanted the controller plus the pH probe, it would cost me $174?

Mike, yes that's right. Plus a small fee for s&h or taxes. I will split these in half, may cost you roughly $5-$10 more. And you would get the new controller, pH probe and all packaging and manuals. All I would keep is the DC8 power socket device and the cord to connect it to the Neptune.

Mike, the controller arrived today. PM me to see when we can hook up. I wanted to share the details with the group.

When I was looking to purchase these I considered two sources, MD and Premium Aquatics. I prefer PA and have been dealing with Jason for years. I try to send my online biz his way because of the customized service he offers me.

Anyhow, I emailed him about the Jr controller and asked if I could by the non backlit model like you wanted. He told me that he no longer has this model and Neptune is no longer making them.

So, I ordered from MD because they had the non backlit model and it is $30 cheaper. As you know, the item was on backorder even though their website did not mention this. I was a bit peeved. Well, I opened the UPS box today, a month after ordering the unit and the Jr controller box said "Backlight Display". I plugged it in to check, and yep it has a big bright green screen!Cheers:beer:

I double checked the invoice charges and no extra charge for the backlight model :thumbsup:

I went back to the website to see if I could buy package deal and take the other DC8 and let someone else get $70 off, no go. The backlit model is no longer being offered. :sad2:
