For sale or trade: FIRE SHRIMP in Berkeley

I need this guy out. He is very coral safe, but not anemone safe so i've come to find out. He steals food from RBTA. So, he needs a home with no anemone.

I paid $25 for him a month ago, he is very healthy, eats well whatever you feed him and forages the sand for food. He is also more outgoing than any shrimp i've seen, coming out to forage mid-day under my halide lamp even. Fire shrimp do not appreciate dirty water, so if you have high nitrates this guy is not for you. Fire shrimp appreciate a tank with caves and rockwork.

I will take $20 or any of the following:

-colorful Ricordea sp. (not orange r. florida as i've already got that one.)
-Yellow Fiji Leather frag
-Hammer Frag
-Dwarf pink feather duster or other cool duster
-a Small Ocellaris clownfish to be paired with my current one
-Neat/bright sps (please, no slimer or other very aggressive types)
-photosynthetic Gorgonians

I may take other stuff, but this is what i'm looking for off the top of my head. Please, give this guy a good home.

Thanks!
Angela

CookieJar, I did not get your pm for some reason.

Mike, they are gorgeous:) And so neat, too. I am sorry to have to offer him up:(

gizmo, I pm'd you back.

Still available.

Thank you,
Angela

Well, in absense of any offers of interest, I am going to put this on hold until I am absolutely sure I can't work it out between the shrimp and anemone. I really love the shrimp, he is super cool.

So, wish me luck. I was given a tip to "tenderize" the anemone food and to not tenderize the shrimp food and this should let the anemone eat before the shrimp is done. I will see how this works and i'll post back in a week if I think it is hopeless.

Thank you,
Angela

Yep, thats what I had to do with my cleaners and Coral Banded shrimps.....feed small pieces to them first. They will go and hide, then feed the RBTA.

OK, Back for sale or trade. He is annoying my anemone, he's going to have to go.

At this point in time I would prefer to sell for $20 as my tank is getting kinda packed. But, iif you have something nice lmk.

Thanks!
Angela

Just to ease everyones mind, this guy is totally fine with corals. I have sps, blasto, shrooms, ric, zoos, the list goes on... the only thing this guy seems interested in is if the anemone is eating or pooping. I just don't want to risk him bothering the anemone to the point where it wants to move.
