For those who use Kalk Reactor inline with Tunze Osmolator

I will be stirring the kalk in the reactor every 6 hours for 5min. I understand itââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s best to let the saturated kalk water sit for an hour or two after it is stirred. This obviously can't be done when connected to an Osmolator since water is being pushed out when needed by the tank. Is this a problem?

Thanks

John

I don't think it would be, but I have no experience. In theory saturated means just that- no more can be dissolved so I don't see why it would make a difference.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if the Kalk reactor is stirring at the very same time the tank is calling for water there would be some undissolve Kalk entering the tank. Is this a problem? Hope I explained it correctly this time.

Ahh, well, it isn't ideal but seeing as the Osmolator is very sensitive and unlikely to add more than a pint at a time likely it won't be an issue on 100gal+ of water.

i have my kalk reactor inline with the osmolator and have no problems. As roger said even if you were to get kalk slurry sent out of the reactor the osmolator pumps such a small amount of water i dont see how it could cause any big problems.
