Formalin in Canada

I've read a lot about the benefits of a formalin bath as part of a QT protocol. I've looked at the medications offered by a lot of online retailers and can't find any with formalin as an active ingredient. Which products available in Canada can I use? Thanks.

Is buying from the US the only way to get 37% formaldehyde???

I have a clownfish with brook (I suspect) and I can’t locate anywhere in Canada to buy it. Waiting 2 weeks for delivery for sure means the clown is not going to make it.

Any help is appreciated.

I don't k ow what's available in Canada however there is a product called formalin ms in the states and an alternative to formalin is seachems paraguard it is aldahyde based. Can you guys order meds from drfosterandsmith.com if so they could ship you a formalin based product I'm guessing.

Search fishvet brand formalin. I have no idea if you can get it in Canada though.

Thanks for the help and offer its appreciated. The 3 hours drive is a little much, but I was told that Paraguard can also be used and is successful so I am going to try that as I can locate some close buy.

I plan to buy Formalin for future use, is there an expiry date on the 37% you have? If not, I will order more just to have on hand.

You don’t have to use formalin for brook. There is metroplex that works and acriflavine as well.
