Found a Chinese 120watt led fixture for 40bucks

Ok guys have another question here,I've been reading through the big post about them and their advertised as 55 3watt LEDs simple math shows that that's 165watts but their really 120 watts so each led is being powered at 2.18 watts. Would their be any major benefits in changing the driver to power them up to full 3 watts?? I would be using them on a 180galllon acrylic tank that's 24"deep will the 120watts be ok I don't plan on running any crazy sps .Im just curious to know 😁😁😁😁.

They run them like that to prolong the life of the led and to prevent them from heating up. Can you pm me the link? My only concern would be why are they so cheap? Most full spectrums are only around $130 though and they last.

look up evergrow on ebay and you'll be able to get a deal. the more you buy the cheaper. buy one at $92 and three for $85 a piece. those are basically the same as reef breeder and reef radiance.

coming from a guy who loves to take stuff apart.. I wouldn't mess with those lights. I tried it on a evergrow nova and the voltage was crazy coming from the leds. Like 90 something. And the drivers had no writing on them so god knows what they use. Last thing you want is a fire.
