Found a one shot one kill method for Aiptasia

I discovered some aiptasia on my newest piece of rock. My friend didn't have his normal aiptasia killing chemical with him when he came over, last week. He usually uses one of the products specifically made for killing these guys and it takes several injections. As we were searching under my tank for something old and nasty to shoot into them, I remembered I had just the right chemical in my fridge. Good ol' Mark Weiss' Coral Vital, lol. After injections with the normal stuff they usually hang around with their guts hanging out for a while and then need another dose within a week. I haven't seen a sign of these guys since using the Coral Vital. The label claims it'll do everything short of giving erections, but this is the first positive thing that I KNOW this crap has done for my tank.

Anybody else found any unconventional methods?

I've used alkalinity buffer dissolved in hot water... worked fine.
I have also read that using kalk (calcium oxide) will work to.

I think anything ionic in a high concentration would do the trick.
