Found Green Bubble Tip in Overflow

Hi there,

This morning I found my GBTA in my overflow box. As you can see from pic, the overflow isnt pulling enough flow to completely tear it apart as say a powerhead. When I saw him however he looked messed up!

It almost looked though like he was splitting, but doesnt seem like a natural split? As you can see from pic (top left), the mouth is cut across.

I noticed as well that when I took him out of overflow and put him on the rocks, one half of him immediately attached. I dont see as well any signs of decaying.

How long do I give him, before he starts to decaying and releasing poison?

Everything else in the tank looks fine, no cloudiness.

Forgot to say as well, that when anemone was in overflow, one half was outside while another inside the overflow box...it didnt get sucked up by tube.

I'm no expert but I know some people that have had their BTAs torn in an overflow or even powerhead and have healed up. A friend's father in law had his BTA torn in half by his overflow and both halves healed up.

Maybe someone else will chime in but it might be best to cut the halves apart if they aren't completely apart yet, but I'm not positive.

I thought about cutting to be honest, but I figured to leave it as is... Oh boy, about two hours before I get from work...not sure what to expect.
