What the heck is it ? Should I kill the little bugger ?

Looks to be an anemone collectively called "Anemonia cf. 'majano'" I would eliminate it before it could potentially become a problem.

i had one for months before it split. but watch it, it will spilt alot. overtaking over things. i took mine off with tweezers, to close to coral to shoot it with anything

Kill it immediately. Those anemones has taken over my tank and they've killed whole colonies of sps. I'm trying to eradicate them now but takes a lot of time. I spend a couple hours last weekend plucking a couple hundred of them.

LOL damnnnnnnnnnnnnnn ! Looks like hes more harm than good . Do you think he will sting softies ? He is right beside some zoas I have and he hasn't killed any of them yet . I am leaning on getting rid of him ASAP though .

They don't harm zo's as much I don't think. I had a nice colony of reds and they just attach to the sides of the zo's. But i think given time they will somehow manage to take over. Either way kill them all!

It is a problem................Kill it. I use a product called "Joe's Juice" it works instantly!

May not harm zoas but it will sting just about everything else. My mushrooms won't even grow near them. I cant kill the mushrooms they grow everywhere. They are almost as bad as the majano's or aptasia.

He is edging up on the zoas . The zoas are moving as best they can away from him . I didn't have time this weekend to get him off the rock , but I guess I will have to do it today , because I would rather have my zoas than him ! It's too bad though , because he is a really pretty little anenome . Oh well some things must be done for the better of the whole tank .

our tank in our office at work has a few of these on one rock. we keep the rock seperate from the rest of the rockwork and they dont seem to spread over sand. we havnt found any free floating in the water column either. the rock started with 2 of them and now has 6 after about 6 months. if you keep an eye on it i think you can control it.
