Fox Face Rabbits

Can someone help me figure out a fair price for a couple fish I have. I have two fox face rabbit fish that have been together for almost two years. Its quite rare to see two fox faces in one tank. Normally they fight until one is dead....

Heres the deal. I dont know how to decipher male from female but these two fish act just like a mated pair of clowns that lay eggs. One is more dominant than the other and they follow eachother around all day. Rarely are they more than 6 inches apart in my 6 foot tank. Both are over 8 inches, one is a bit larger than the other.

I am going to be getting rid of them but have no idea how to price them......My LFS in town buys large (4-6 inches) fox faces whole sale for about $20 bucks and sells them for $65.

With that info I could surmise that each fish could sell for 65$ on their own to the right buyer. I assume with some patience I could get retail since they are larger than any foxface we ever see around here. Some seem to think larger fish are worth less because their is less of a market for them. Aroound here it seems to be the opposite. So that would be 130 for the pair. Does anyone think they should have more value since they behave like a pair of mated fish??????

Also I have never been able to find a definitive way to sex these fish, anyone know how to tell the difference???

I think you are going to have a hard time getting rid of the pair unless priced to sell,id say closer to 75 for the pair, that is if you can find some one with a tank that will work and be interested in them good luck.

Someone near me got rid of a pair of foxface pretty cheap, maybe $50, hard to find someone that wants two large common fish around here though.

If I was close and had the room, I'd get them. Very nice looking fish, and IMO worth more as a pair.
