Fox face stuck to my vortech

It must not have been long but I notice my vortech was taking in water funny until I realized that my fox face was stuck on the side. This has never happened before and he has been acting fine/ still is. Granted it was turned up to 100%. He has some marks from the vents on the power head which are triangular for some reason I'm not sure why they wouldn't make them circular to avoid any damage to livestock. He just came right off and went back like nothing happened. He's regaining color even now and it has been 20 minutes. He doesn't seem weak and hasn't shown any sign of illness. Are they just poor swimmers?

He's about 3-4" just a baby. He has 100% regained color so I'm not sure what happened. If he was sick I feel like it would be more obvious but he's totally normal

My guess is he was not healthy, a healthy fish would be able to swim away.

Didn't he get sucked onto your overflow too at one point?

Yes he did from day one. Should I qt him and possibly treat with something he acted funny since day 1 seemed normal and then did this today. I only have a ten g to qt in. he looks totally healthy but what could cause it. This is probably week 2 of having him. My melanurus is fine

Really hard to say. It may just take some time. Just make sure it's eating and be sure to feed some algae sheets.

Eats like a pig. I go between Arctic pods, mysis, and larger shrimp then supplement with nori.
