fox face to shy

i've had my fox face now for two weeks he eats like crazy he swims all over the tank, he's oveall happy but if you stand in front of the tank he's gone my question is are they shy or does it take longer for it to be out and about when he sees people

I hope Reef264 and Yogre are correct.
I have a Starry Blenny that would rather I just went away. All of the other fish come out and swim around. Bruno will only feed at the back of the tank. he comes out and slaps the sand in the front of the tank if I watch TV too late in his sleep time. That to the degree that there is a bare spot there and I have move some sand back over it every cpl of days. Then he speeds back behind the rocks and glares at me. I've had him for a cpl months and he's still not at peace. It's both the longest adjustment time I've experienced and the most determined attempt to chase me away. Was it something I said ?

Starry Blennys, along with most Blennies are shy for quite a while.My Lawnmower was shy for 6 months, once he figured out that I contained the hand that feeds, he would perch himself on my mag-float, and would stand his ground no matter how hard I tapped the glass.My Midas however, still shy, 3 years running.Hides 23hours, & 55 minutes out of the day.

My foxface was always shy and somewhat skittish.
After adding a sailfin tang, he is now less shy and skittish. He likes to swim and follow the sailfin around all day. They are good buds.
So if you have enough space for an addition, consider getting a compatible swimming mate for the foxface. It worked for me.
