Foxface help

Hi. My foxface is acting weird. He keeps laying down and going dark. No one is picking on him and he is eating ok. He has been in my 200 gallon for a little over a week. No amonia reading and nitrates are low. All other fish are ok. Any ideas? I get a water change in a few days and was last partially changed and cleaned professionally 10 days ago.

Going dark for them is when they are scared or not feeling well. Hes not trying to hide by laying on the sand ao I assume something is wrong with him. Do you have the ability to put him in a tank by himself to treat?

Sorry to hear that. Anything odd happen? How did you acclimate?

from my freshwater experience, any fish that turn dark and not swimming is sick due to internal parasite. I don't think SW fish is any different.
