foxface stressed or sick please help?

actually I haven't updated my fish list in a while.

The foxface was a recent loss, about 2 weeks ago.

The foxface and anthias got along very well, in fact I haven't had any issues with my fish getting along with each other. Though my female clarkii let's eveyone know when she doesn't want you around. A big chaser and isn't afraid of letting everone know who she is.

I tried melafix and macayn 2. I'm wondering if I had a gram-positive bacteria vs. gram-negative.

My foxface was over 7 inches, wasn't too hard to catch, but the spines made him a handful to transfer.

I had one i grew up to 11 inches, very personable fish. Mine went half black for a year after moving the christmas tree out of his room. Never had the red fin thing- but they can just freak out and just semi perm change color. After he "came back" to normal color- he was fine for years.and as far as i know still is in his new home.

I was considering Melafix and Pimafix since he shares his space with some corals and inverts. Do your other fish show signs of illness? I currently have 2 bangaii cardninals with him, and they just had babies last week. The babies are in their own tank but would have been exposed. All the bangaiis appear well. I also have a small school of chromis and a clown fish that are currently in seperate qt, awaiting transition. I am not going to move them until Foxface is remedied. Oddly, he calms down completely at night when the lights go off. He nibbles the algae off the rocks and swims around slowly.

Hey capn_hylinur do you really think it could be a magnificent foxface? I've never seen one with so much yellow on them (except the fins). Not trying to argue as you have waaaaay more experience than I do-just curious.

Well I tried the Melafix and Pimafix for 7 days . No change in his red fin color but I noticed the inside of his mouth and lip area is white. And a very small tip of his pectoral fin is missing. He is still pacing but not as agressive.
I'm not sure if I should look for another treatment or maybe just hope he is normal. I really dont want to stress him out by removing him.
