Frag discs

Hi all, I'm just wondering if everyone else puts these in their tanks with the frags attached, or do you cut them off and stick straight onto rock? I ask because I now have a few discs in my tank and tbh they look out of place. Take a look and see what you all think? Should I be putting them in my tank at all? I'm assuming they are OK and will eventually cover with coralline and match the other rocks.

They cAn eventually become covered by coraline or coral but I generally will remove the coral from the plug and glue to the rock. I think I only have one plug actually attached to my rock. I'd recommend taking the plugs out.

If you can easily remove and glue then good idea.
I leave mine on, in a year, likely won't see it anymore.

I usually just let the frag outgrow the plug. I also put some epoxy around the sides of the plug so it looks more natural after the plug is completely encrusted

I do one of 2 things. I either pop them off the plug and glue to rocks, or cut the end of the plug off and glue the top of the disk to my rocks.

Of course this all depends on whether I can pop the coral off the plug or not. If I can pop them off the plugs, I remount on my own plugs and do the above.

The disk will become encrusted with the coral thats on it, or encrusted with coralline very quickly.

I leave them on there for a while and see if the coral likes where I've put it. Most get moved around several times before I finally remove the coral from the plug and glue it to the rock work.
