FRAG FEST 07

Is this a frag swap or just a raffle of dry goods & coral frags? Just wondering if there will be any rare or LE corals featured, sold, or raffled?

It's a swap gone mad! It all started to be a swap, I'm a fan of Jakes and he was willing to come out, we wanted a raffle and it has gone from there. I know that there will be a ton of rare zoas for sure. I also know there will be rainbow danae frags, superman frags, and other not so common sps. I don't have a complete list, but one of the fraggers that is coming down from Wisconson only deals in less common, LE stuff. I'll see if I can get a list from him.

Robtop,

I appreciate the respone, but was wondering if you could give me more info as it sounds very interesting & promising. What are the rules for the frag swap? How many frags required, do they need to be labeled, etc. Do you also need to be a member of some club to participate? I checked out the website & it looks great. If you could get a list of LE corals that might be there I'd greatly appreciate it, thanks.

I'll see what I can do on the list, if nothing eklse you can win cifrt certs to some company's that have great stuff. As for rules, no pintching, biting or hair pulling is allowed. Beyond that, buy sell trade, no frag limits, except to say 10 or more you need to get a table. Labled helps, a pic of it is better.

Churchboy,
Check out this link. The store in bringing a ton of frags from this. The pic gives a taste, but is nothing compared to really seeing it. There is an acro in there, that is a creamy purple with intense purple corilites, and even darker purple poylps. I've never seen anything like it, frags will be there!

This is the link to were selleres will be listing what they are bringing. Currently there is a long list of what the raffle items. As the raffle continues to grow I will update it on this thread.

Looking forward to a huge event!

If anyone is still trying to decide whether to go to Rockford Frag Fest. There is a few updates to the Rockford Reefers web site you might want to take a look at.

If the $10,000 of raffle items isn't enough, then Grand Prize Raffle item just might put you over the "edge"

What's the forecast for that day? I've heard you guys are getting alot of snow this week was wondering if it might carry into the Frag Fest?

Best I can do is a 7 day forcast. Tell me how to look farther out and I'll do it. And we never get it as bad as Chicago gets it.

In just 24 short hours the madness will unfold. Vendors will arrive as will fraggers in a panic. Trying to set everything up for when the doors open just a short time later. As the crowed enters their eyes widen and jaws drop at all that has come together to make this event unbelieveable! Corals from several states, as well as vendors, prizes laided out across 6 tables and sellers holding a cup of coffee with blood shot eyes. The Frag Fest begins!
The only thing left to do is take out a low interest loan so you can buy everything you need.

As for weather it has changed several times since Thursday night. The forcast has been
100% rain
100% snow
now it is 80% wintery mix (what ever that means)

Thanks to all who came out and made this a success!
Like most things there is good news and bad.
The good news is we had over 200 brave the blizzard and come out.
The bad news is there are reports of some zoa eatting pests.
If you got zoas in the raffle or from a seller and have not QTed your stuff or inspeacted it befor putting it in your dispaly, please go back and check things out.
