Frag Fest 07

Okay, I have to admit I laughed at that one...

26 isn't bad. I'm figuring maybe an $8 different in total gas cost, so no big deal.

I figure 30 bucks will get us there and back divided by however many people go. If we get six, 5 bucks a person will do the trick of getting us there and back.

Ralph and Norton???
Beluga whales or whale sharks? Several of the larger critters have unforrtuneatley died in the last couple of months (at least one whale shark and one beluga) so I hope there is omething left in the big tanks.
Jon

They are the whale sharks. Tixie and Alice were added last summer might be one of them that kicked the bucket or ralph got sick of alice and said pow right to the bucket Alice:lol:

So, how many folks are coming along and what are the plans? What time are we thinking of leaving/coming back?

Right now it is just the two of us and maybe Jason talked to him last night he is still on the fense but leaning towards no. Plus your friends who are looking go along for the ride. It will take about 2 and a 1/2 to 3 hours to get there. It opens at 10 closes at 4. I was thinking to get there for 11 and Leave when we are ready preferably by 3pm. The wife wants me to have dinner with her but if we stay till 4 oh well it will be a late dinner. What are your thoughts?

Well...I'm keeping an eye on the weather right now. We're supposed to have slush and ice starting sometime late Friday or early Saturday...Rockford looks to be a bit warmer with a 90% chance of rain...

Your thoughts? If the weather's that bad we may just skip out altogether...as much as I'd like to go, not sure if it'll be worth the risk driving down there. :(

Yeah if it is all ice it is not worth it. Jason called last night said it is starting to look like he might be able to go now.

Fred

So Jason is officially not going due to other obligations. What is your opinion do you just want pass on going this year and hope for a larger group next year?

:( That's probably best...with the weather and just the three of us, kind of seems like a waste. I'm sure next year will be even bigger!

OK we will pass this year I need a cleaner shrimp anyway. My 3 year old monster cleaner shrimp bit the dust yesterday.

You guys are killing me. Suck it up and head on down!
Three is perfect that way there is room if you win the zero edge tank, or the Ocieanic Bio cube, all we are getting down here is rain, what's a little water man.

Seriously, hope you cange your mind, but as you said there is always next year

Trust me, I'd love to go! We're getting more than rain up here though, sleet, slush and ice from the sounds of it. And driving on WI roads in that kind of weather is hazardous to your health. If it looks okay by Friday, maybe we'll change our minds and head down, because it does sound like a ton of fun... :(

In just 24 short hours the madness will unfold. Vendors will arrive as will fraggers in a panic. Trying to set everything up for when the doors open just a short time later. As the crowed enters their eyes widen and jaws drop at all that has come together to make this event unbelieveable! Corals from several states, as well as vendors, prizes laided out across 6 tables and sellers holding a cup of coffee with blood shot eyes. The Frag Fest begins!
The only thing left to do is take out a low interest loan so you can buy everything you need.

Two of us will be there for sure Fred if you want to go with Jason and myself PM me directions to you house again please. We are leaving Green Bay at 8 AM and would be to your house by about 8:40.

Sure Al we will pick you up on the way. PM me directions again I should know my way by now but I can't seem to remember my street names in that area. I have room for 6 besides me.

Most recent weather now has us at an 80% chance of a winter mix. This is the 4th forcast since Thursday.
No issue
100% rain
100% snow
80% mix and a better temp.
They are now saying Sunday will be the dumping on us. Looks like it is moveing slower so we might not get anything till later
