Frag plugs?

Do any of the LFS around here have any? I would prefer ceramic plugs. If not what could I use as a substitute? Can I use a couple those 1” ceramic tiles glued together in a stack? If so do they have to be cured? I hate gluing direct to the rock. Plugs you can move around till the coral is happy.

yes they do this alot in the propagation forum. you can use ceramic or marble tiles. but make sure they are the unfinished because some of the buffing compounds are toxic. i think you should probibly cure them in rodi then just throw them in your sump for a but. also i havnt seen any frag plugs around any shops in the area.

yup that is what i mean...:)...i believe most people use marble or granet, more so on granet because they say the corals calcafie to if easyer and faster...unknown how true that is but just what i read...:)... i would go to HD or lowes and ask if they have any broken tiles and such, most people on the other forum get them either given to them or at a very very cheep rate. also i found that aquamend putty at HD the other day, i know you were looking for it.

it was with the glues on the end between like the regular stuff and the tiling and carpet area i think. jerry bought the last one last weekend so they should have more by now.

Went uptown today and got some broken tiles from the hardware store. This afternoon we went to Binghamton and i got some base rock from the front st LFS. I need more rock for the main tank anyway. Seeding it in the basement 20 long.
