Frag Racks

Anyone know where to get affordable acrylic frag racks? I do not want to use egg crate. Thanks

Following along. Any reason you can't buy a sheet of acrylic at lumber store and build yourself? I have not done it myself but seems like it would be fairly easy.

When I looked in to buying a frag rack, I saw the price and just laughed. I have made several now. I have a couple that are acrylic that just hang over the side of the tank, a couple more with magnets counter sunk in them, and a few made of eggcrate. All very simple, with way more capacity than store bought, and all of them made for way less than just one ready made.

There are way too many things to spend my hard earned $$$ on in this hobby. Frag racks don't make the list.

I thought about building my own. I was just going to make slots with a router. I was told that the acrylic will melt though. billdog any troubles when you drilled the acyrlic?

I just used polycarbonate sheets (free leftovers at work)..
Made the holes with a step drill..
Used narrow pieces to hang them with (heat gun and bend over table edge)...
A little acyrlic glue and done...

I used a forstner bit in my drill press at its slowest speed. You could do the same with a handheld drill. Just make sure the acrylic can't move and you should be ok.
