If this cool "Blue Tort" I got the other day continues to show signs of good health as it has so far, I can bring in two SMALL frags of it - but besides that, I have nothing to offer this time...

Matt

When I was in the shop you mentioned that you planned to make a tank available to place frags so they would have time to acclimate before the swap. Are you ready to receive them yet?

My frag tank in the store is what we will be using again. It is ready and any time you all want to bring in corals you can feel free. I will have one side of my cube for the swap. If everyone can "tag" their corals somehow to identify it as yours that would benefit everyone. I don't know how you would do this but it might make everything easier.

Ok guys and gals I am already planning for our next frag swap. I would like it to be just more than a swap. Does anyone have any ideas that they would like to see. I was thinking about getting someone to come and give a demo on "proper" fragging tecnique. Perhaps a mj mod demo. I am working on skimmer mods to get the most out of inexpensive skimmers. I have seen other frag swaps where vendors came in and did demos of their products Pfo came to one and showed off their solaris fixture. I think that it would be cool to get this club growing. I do not think that I am going to be able to get vendors to come and entertain 15 or 20 people. So we all need to get the word out next time to get more people in from other areas. I would like to see some people for KC and STL coming to trade with us.

I will announce the next date at the swap so we can get our stuff together.

John,

If you have any literature for the seas or mabye a banner I could display to get the word out I would be glad to use my space to advertise for you. If you have any art work I might be able to make something. I would like to see more people in the club and keep the interest in the hobby.

Matt, i'd be up for the mj mod demo and definately the fragging demo. Those sound good. Maybe we could all make aragocrete (sp?) rocks or frozen fish food?

Also if need be, if you get some little flyers or posters made to promote the club and meets/frag swaps, i can post them around MSU on the public bulletin boards in all the buildings. I can also give the biology department another try on their nudibranch culture they were doing last semester. I may be able to start something up there since i'm in the department now.

I'll post up more ideas if anything crosses my mind
