My first frag swap. I loved it and am very excited about the frags I brought home.

Special thanks to Paul, Peter, and Mike for coordinating the event.

A very special thanks to Richard for hooking us up with the venue. I hope your church does not regret the favor.

All I can say is: When is the next one?!?! I'm already looking forward to the next one!

Thanks again for having us, i know everyone that went from our club will be back... and like matt said, we look forward to seeing all of you for our shindig.

This was my first frag swap too and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great food too! Was kept busy yesterday afternoon afterwards, dipping and glueing ;). All I can say is WOW, when I see the different colors come out on the zoo's and paly's I got. :)

I'll need to come out with a wish list of the ones that got away yesterday though and I have the 'darn, I should have grabbed that' regrets, but then I wouldn't have gotten some of the ones I've got ;).

How often do you guys hold these?

Well we are trying to do it at least once a year, but there is great momentum and if we get enough people to help with the planning we are targeting twice a year (spring/fall). It does take a bit of time and effort planning for this. With all the trips to the stores, the late night working sessions, advertising, setting up and coordinating all the logistics, fragging over 100 frags :eek2: to seed the table, etc... and of course we all have our own lives to attend to.

But seeing posts like this, happy reefers making it all worth while. :D

This was the first, in a while, for MARS. That said, the feedback and goodtimes makes me feel really good about this event, and I know Paul is ready to host another one.

So, I imagine this was the first ANNUAL MARS Spring Frag swap.

If we can drum up enough help, maybe there will be another one in the fall??? I know Mike, Paul and myself all felt like the entire thing was a blur and we'd like to just attend the next swap, so I can't wait for someone else to host a swap, and I'll volunteer to help in advance, but I'll just attend on the day of!

You guys put on an awesome swap. It went so smoothly even with over 100 people. Great job and thank you so much!

Thanks to everyone for putting this on. Lots of people turned out and lots of couples/families which is cool. An extra thanks to the chefs.

Surf & Turf Mother Colony

Surf & Turf Mother Colony

Here's a recent picture of the mother colony for the surf & turf frags I donated...

It sits about 14" below a 250 watt XM 20K bulb.

Keep the alk consistent and above 8.0.

Keep the phosphates below 0.05 ppm (AKA 0.015 phosphorous)

That was very well planned and executed. It went very smoothly and quick. I got some really nice frags too. Thanks to everyone who helped, and the venue was great too.

Question? was this swap held at a church?

and i wanted to go but daughters Bday.

next time i will make the trip up and participate.
