Frag swapper info

When listing items or multiple items start a new box or for sale window for each item.
Don't list them all in one box. IE zoo frag, 1 poly 5 ,3 polyp 10, 5 polyp 15. Give them all there own box.
That will help at the end of the month when the swapper goes to print out there list, the item you posted will appear correctly and cut down any confusion.

Having to email and request the number of polyps leaves the swapper site open to mistakes.

Lets keep it simple.

Another rule of thumb that has been adopted by most is pick up your frags by 2 or they will go for sale to the public. Or if your not going to make it by 2, pre arrange something with your swapper.

Just makes it easier for you and the buyer, after all transactions are done on swapper just print the report and it tells you who bought what and how many.
If you have say...5 frags of a 3 polyp zoo, that can go in one window becasue all the frags your selling are the same. 3 polyp zoo. then 5 people can reserve that frag amount.

Requesting items then canceling them the next day or so. I get emails letting me know how often this happens and I'd really like to see this cut down to little or none at all.
If you see a item you like make sure it is what you want and that your going to go through with the transaction if you hit Request item.
I no it's not a binding contract or anything of the sort... It's just common respect amongst reefers. If you request a item follow through with your request, don't Cancel it because you requested the item to early and something else caught your eye. Hopefully my email box doesn't get blown up with canceled requests. Kinda of defeats the purpose of the site.

I was just wondering if anyone had been getting emails from people interested in buying/trading through FragSwapper? I've sent out two emails to jph22883 about some stuff he promised me, and haven't heard back from him. So I sent myself an email from the site, and still haven't gotten that one in my inbox either... Just curious

Just wondering why it wouldnt be a binding contract? If a person offers something for sale, and person agrees to buy it, doesnt that count as binding? And really, who is going to pull that card over a $10 frag but I think there might be a legal obligation to purchase if you accept a sellers offer.

But what the heck do I know, I'm no lawyer.

Unfortunately that happens all the time. I had stuff reserved from the past swap then people cancelled before the swap I understand if something unforeseeable happens, but seems like the same people over and over.

Yep, I don't have a issue with the refuse request button any longer
They no who they are. They just seem to care or get it. I also feel if the swap is a few days away and you back out because you can't make it you should offer the seller a way to get the frags from them. That atleast gives the seller options and the cancel doesn't sting as bad. Some corals I won't cut till there sold what happens then...stuck.
But for the most part, 95% of the time swapper works out great. Big asset to us reefers at the swaps!

It will happen regardless if using Fragswapper, RC threads or PM's. The good news is with Fragswapper, easier to line up waiting list to move people up.

I was one to cancel on the last minute last year on a couple of people. If you were one of them I truly apologize. I didn't know anything about the ethics of it until I was into the hobby more. So for me, if anyone cancels within a few days of the swap I would be fine with it. As long as they don't cancel within the last hours or something like that.

Having a reason you can't make it is one thing...everyone is understanding to a point. Giving the seller a heads up is the best thing doing the no show or just straight out canceling last second blows.

Let the cancellations begin. Put stuff up, people requested stuff right away, and this am I already got a cancellation. I truly understand if something comes up, but more often than not they request it on a whim and then change their mind. The problem I have with it is that once a request is made I frag the coral. I have a nano, so I don't have room for a bunch of frags from no-shows. I guess at least its early enough that someone else will hopefully want it.

I have had a ton of back outs..THIS MAKES ME MAD ,because they waited the few days before changing there mind.
If you do that to me and have other stuff requested I WILL CANCEL THE REST OF YOUR REQUEST ALSO!!!!

Joyce cancelled on at least 5 of my items already also.

As a buyer we see the waiting list and think no harm no foul to cancel the request. There is a lot of time before the swap and people are going to change their mind. This format allows easy impulse shopping and then there is a lot of time for buyers remorse to kick in.

Personally, I would not back out unless someone is in the waiting queue but that is just me.

Please don't take this offensively. I am just trying to show the other side of the coin.
