Please don't take this offensively. I am just trying to show the other side of the coin. [/B]

I buy a ton of stuff too.I have canceled something before but it within a few minutes after requesting it so the seller probley didnt even know.
Also thought part of the "rules" is NO backing out unless ness
most of time because you found something else.

Joyce cancelled on at least 5 of my items already also.
+1 did the same to me and another person I know!!!

As a heavy user of fragswapper, I am appreciative of the attention you are giving the cancellation aspect.

i made out a list of 10 different corals that i wanted , when i saw them i got them , no backing out ,as they were on my list .do not impulse shop on fragwapper , NO ONE HAS TIME FOR ALL OF THAT , they have regular jobs, family's, and their own life , not to sit and pi$$ with your orders that you want one day and not the next ,,, who ever keeps backing out month ahead of the swap should not have the privilege to use it. And to the sellers ,,just keep good notes and next year when you see them on your requests ,,,, well you know what to tell them through e-mail , not RC ,,,cause you dont have to be nice and polite in personal e-mail !!!!!!

Murph, on Fragswapper there is a button that appears when someone requests a frag from you that allows you to choose "accept request" or "decline request" so there is really no other communication needed unless you want to explain you reason for declining the request.
It's awesome that you found all of your desired corals. I hope everyone has as much luck as you.
It should help have less cancellations if people are reading this thread and the common courtesy is explained a bit more. Maybe people are thinking it is just a guideline of what is available but I think of it more as an Ebay for the swap. I don't sign up for anything unless I am POSITIVE I will be there. I passed on a few nice corals for the CORA swap until I was able to determine that I would be going for sure.

Fragswapper is an AWESOME free service and I am sure glad it is available to us.

well there ya go , to all the sellers go back over your past history with the person requesting your coral and see if they were one of the ones who backed out for no apparent reason , like said before ,,,this is way to far out from the swap to just back out cause you found something else , up closer to the swap if you get asked to work or something comes up that does not permit you to go , try to find a friend or fellow member to get your stuff .. if all that cant be done , then back out with a reason that is real ,,its all about being honest to your fellow reefers and they will accept your reason , but because you found something else is LAME !! thanks Kevin i have only bought stuff from fragswapper , not sold anything so i didnt know about the decline button ...

Yep, I know a swapper that can't make it and I will be picking his corals up for him. There's ways around having to cancel on someone last minute too :)

There's no rule that says you can't cancel, it's just respect amongst reefers. You wouldn't want that to happen to you so TRY not to do it to others. As with everything there's grey areas.

The worst thing about the cancelling is that most people have a budget, If I have $20 left and there is a frag I want with a waiting list I probably wont sign up for it, I will sign up for one that is available and know that my budget is gone. Then the person that reserved the coral I passed up on cancels and the seller loses out and so do I for not being on the list risking going over my budget.

Well, I just pulled a stupid and cancelled something by mistake. Sorry JPH22883, I requested it again. Not sure how I did it, I was just looking at what I had lined up. Duh!

You guys are making too much of a deal with this backing out thing. I am not going to speak for anyone else on this, but whoever wants to cancel out on me you can do so up until the night before the swap. I have to prepare everything for sale by then, so it would be appreciative that no one back out on a sale the day before. You should know what you want and request it, but I understand if you find a better deal to cancel out. Heck If I found a better deal why would I buy the same thing for a higher price :). Don't flame me for my comments, that's just how I feel. I work hard for my money, so why not spend it wisely.

I have to stop getting on there daily... I've already racked up $100 bill. I hope my frags are ready by then so I can cut out some of my cost.

It's funny. I'm like a junkie on there. I'm up over $100 already too. But when you look at it, if you go to a coral store, $100 will get you 2 or 3 nice frags. At the swap it'll get you 8 to 10. :)

I usually end up with around $350 worth of frag reserved for me before the swaps. Then I try to sell a bunch of frags to offset some of the costs.

Well whoever snagged the 20 Ricordea rock for $20 got a hell of a deal!! Damn... That's what happens when I don't check it on an hourly basis.

:mad2: Darn work, why can't they leave me alone so I can surf the net all night and get the deals!

I agree that was a sweet deal. My wife is gonna kick my @$$ for missing that one.

My wife hates it. I run over to the PC and "refresh" the screen every 20 - 30 minutes.

Great deals on there!
