Sharing my frag tank build.
Tank is diy from some glass I had laying around it's 1/4 inch.
20 l x 17 w x 12 h with black silicone. its 17 gallons
Also DIY light
Odessy 30 inch mh an t5ho used all the stuff on a retrofit for a different tank.
Took it apart and cut out the dividers with a tablesaw. Then I cut down to 20 inches.
I then put 2 18 watt t5ho 12l truelumen current usa bulbs. I broke the sockets and couldn't find a deal on them so I just soldered wires to the prong on the end of the bulbs. Then covered with liquid rubber.
Then I cut 2 holes for fans to run of a 12v power supply.
I have already ordered a 18 x 2 watt ballast for the t5hos. ordered the wrong size bulbs a year ago and have had them laying around. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QGGQVOQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
I screwed down the heatsinks which will have 6 Royal blues and 4 uv 410-420 nm. with 90 degree optics. haven't order them yet will order sometime soon.
