I have a 40 long tank. I would like to set it up as frag tank. I have the lights and the tank. Looking to frag zoos, rics, and SPS. I was thinking of doing LR and LS. What should I use for Filter and Protien skimmer. I was thinking the Skilter 400, but read all the bad reviews, so not doing that. Just looking for ideas. Don't really want a fug either. Thanks.

Is your main tank acrylic or glass? If acrylic, drill a hole towards the top, runa pipe down to your frag tank, then run a line from the top of your frag tank to the main tank's sump. All gravity fed, ties into your main system so no extra pumps or filtration needed, and less stress to new frags because you're not changing the water chemistry on them.
