yeah henry prolly mosly zoas and palys to start. also maybe some lps but i think it might be too bright for lps. im not sure i wanna start sps but i just might this t5 is kicking out alot of light. the picks are with just the blues on. any suggestions i know i have about a month atleast b4 i put anything in there.

you could do just about any sps i'd think with the T-5's.
I would just make sure to run carbon in the sump especially if your gonna mix sps,lps and zoa's or palys....

yeah, i dont have a sump on it.. but i do add/change out carbon regularily. i have a bunch of zoas and palys im gonna start out with see how they do. already have stuff popping off the rocks i put in this am that i thought were dead. bunch of fire and ice zoas and a couple of baby blue and green mushrooms.....lol

the tank is pretty much geared towards zoas and palys. maybe some where down the road i might upgrade it with a sump and move towards the other types of coral.

I have a similar setup on my frag tanks. yes, you can grow anything in there! I have had great SPS growth. The only think with T5s is that is seems easy to bleach things. when i first put SPS under T5s I bleached every piece - months later the color came back. in my 72 SPS liked to be about 10-14" below the light - in my new tank I have SPS ranging from 8.5 to 17" from the light (running ATI Blue", Geissman 15K, KZ Fiji)

When the bulbs become of age consider replacing them with ATI , Geissman or UVL bulbs.

Yeah im gonna try and replace with better quality bulbs when i can. The 3 levels are for what likes more light to the deep one where they like less. and i hope to get a shadier area for the deeper water stuff.

how about some egg crate under the higher levels - thats what I use for shade :)

oh yeah - expect to have algae growing on the racks. I read that after a few months it turns to coraline and the hair algae goes away. hoping that is true!

nice looking tank. i have a bunch left of the egg crate, i might have to mess around with my tall level it seems too high but i have some zoas that love the light gonna have to c how they do on it . but i think i might have to lower it .
