Frag Toadstool

I've heard of people cutting a sort of "wedge" in it but not cutting it all the way so that it still is hanging on to the main coral. Wait a few days and supposedly it starts to heal itself near the pointed part of the wedge. Then you snip it the rest of the way and the part that is healing over is the new base. Take a toothpick and stick it through the base, and then use a rubber band to tie the toothpick to a rock so the base is sticking to the rock. It should attach in a week or 2.

I've never done this, but when i got my green toadstool, thats what the guy claimed he did. I got it really small and the toothpick was still in it w/the rubber band on it....so i guess it worked since its tripled in size since :)

You can pretty much cut it however and it will do fine. They are very resilient, imo. I attached my cut frag to a rock with a rubberband. It attached in about 10 days. ;)

And make sure you wear some gloves, leathers don't like to be touched by oily skin.

Garf rarely shows gloves in their photo tutorials, which is poor practice.
