I'm sorry Selgado that is not the motivation for my comments what so ever. The motivation for my comments is to get some information posted about the thread topic that everyone from NORA was ignoring. There was no post plugging the "dead Toledo club". Thank-you to Xenia for posting your information and thank you Selgado for posting some links that are accessible. Although I'm terribly sorry about your immature post comment.

You may not stand for insults but the insults continually to poor from NORA when an information post is given. I made no insult what so ever in my initial posting regarding information to be posted it this forum for the general public. I made reference to NORA putting the information in their Member only section of the Forums and not making it availble to the general public for viewing. Not everyone wants to become a member of NORA to have to gain access to freely traded information.

Once again thank-you Xenia for your post on getting information into this forum.

As you stated Jen I am aware of the Swap but I was looking for new information that blix had posted above. He was looking attendance and i was looking for an update that has not been recently posted about the swap in any of the forums that are in NORA or TRAC and other links that might reference more information about the swap.

Xenia do you have more information on the swap and the vendors on any other website or link that you can post?

I guess you are saying that all paying clubs are greedy. In your opinion that would include CORA, C-SEA, LMAS and so on. The money is being utilized to fund raffles, the club frag tank, a future swap, website, future meeting location rentals etc etc. No on is profiting from NORA.

As, John pointed out, it is in public viewing here on RC. It is also posted in the member forum on NORA and also in MASO. I feel that we have advertised this thing plenty more that we should have. We are not associated with this swap and have no obligation to make it be public knowledge. We were spreading the word to our friends.


If you do not wish to be a member of NORA, that is your perogitive. If that is your choice, we ask that you please leave and not stir any other trouble.

I am finished with this topic and I strongly suggest that the other members of NORA be finished with it as well.

My initial post was to Blix for information regarding the swap. It appeared that you had information regaurding the swap and I just asked about the information and then the insults flew fron NORA.

I'm sorry that you feel information that could be valuable to the general public about this swap you are not willingly to make it public knowledge. I feel sorry for Xenia and Blix who are trying to boost attendance for this swap.

For Michigan Reefers I hope this swap becomes a success. I personally would like to help boost attendance so there would be more people available to swap and trade corals with. I wish you the best of luck.

Jen I requested it in both for the purpose of the public to get the information. Both forums are local forums to get information in the area. I'm sorry that you don't realize this. These forums are for the public and for people in the hobby and are not owned by the clubs they are owned by RC. Therefore information to share in the hobby can be posted anywhere. I never said I didn't want to associate with NORA. I've always said I hoped that the two clubs could get together in the future and work out future projects with each other. Best of luck to the future. If we can not get over our differences and work together our futures could both be very bleak. TRAC and NORA are two totally different clubs with different Ideas on future objectives. As a whole the two could compliment each other.

As for this post if it is insulting that I posted a reply to a question asked then o well! I had a hard time finding the information myself and I posted it as a service to other people on this bbs. I never said you were hidding it just that no one else had posted the information on this thread. Its just too bad that 2 clubs that could benifit from each other cant work togather. To accomplish the goals that each club says that they stand for education of other reef keepers and the public. While I dont agree with the personal attacks by Aquatic Aquaman I also dont agree with the personal attack on me from jenghes by saying that they will not stand for insults. I dont understand how I insulted you or NORA by posting public information and being supprised that no one had posted it on this thread. It is not only a service to the people that will see it on this thread and show up but also to the clubs that are there. Or did we forget that some people just look and dont post if they couldnt find it and would not ask you may not have another posible member there to talk to! I dont think that I want to be a part of eather club with the people skills you all have!

If so I apologize but this thread is out of hand! These two clubs could work togather and not deminish what they alone are doing. And make more things happen in this area it could be a good thing if all is not lost allready because of petty fighting. I ment no harm by posting the information about the swap. Just wanted to help others that may have a hard time finding information on it. Just my opinion but maybe both clubs should take a look at how some people are conducting there self on this thread. And think about having a meeting about how things should be handled on the public forums! Ill tell you this dosent make eather club look good too me!

Stating that TRAC did not have much activity was not an insult, but my impression of fact. I thought that I was a member of TRAC. I have not seen a meeting notice in a few months, newsletter, any meeting minutes or even a post within the last month. I assumed that TRAC was basicly dead. This is the first that I have heard that I am not a member of TRAC. I provided a draft of the by-laws, helped get the forum on RC started, attended several meetings, and provided input as well as pics for the site. Was I kicked out because I missed two meetings? Well, as of today, because of these comments, I am officially not a member of TRAC and never will be.
