"fragging" an anemone

Can you do this successfully or does it usually result in death?

If one does this what is the procedure?

Recovery?


I saw a video on youtube where you just basically treat it like a starfish (keep part of the mouth) and you're set.

This would be a very large sebae anemone....(12" ish inches)

BTA's are the ones with the good success rate for fragging. Try to get a propagated one if possible.

or a forced split. When the chemistry in the tank changes quickly the anenome feels threatend and splits

The Bta's will also slit on their own when mature and well fed.
