Fragging Bubble Coral

I noticed two small buds growing on my Bubble Coral, kind of hidden under the polyps when inflated, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for fragging them off.

I seem to remember reading that the Mother Colony polyps can overshadow them and keep them from recieiving enough light if they are not removed.

Any info would be appreciated.

My XL large bubble has about 3 baby buds growing on the skeleton, the largest the size of a golf ball. They seem to do okay, inflate like the mother and generally look healthy.
I have thought about fragging them off and selling them, the largest one would be a SWEET center piece for a nano.
If I do decide to try and remove them I will try so with dremmel tool, trying to remove a little bit of the skeleton so that it is easier to place/mount the new frag.
Good Luck!

Hmm, I'll probably wait until they are bigger then. They are only the size of a pencil eraser right now, and aweful close to the main heads tissue.

Thanks

I have seen these small buds come and go on some of my LPS corals. I researched and found corals do this so that if the mother colony is wiped out for some reason these little guys will then grow. I believe the article stated that they bud off like this in response to a problem. Now I have seen mine do this when the tank seems to be at its best, so i dont know if i agree with it or not.

My frog budded like this soon after fragging, and the new head-lets are growing. Lately it has changed its tactic and is beginning to divide within the main head, by blowing immense bubbles and creating a new mouth.
