Fragging LPS Corals

It'll be my first time fragging my LPS corals specifically my frogspawn. I was told to cut at the base and I have done so but I'm having trouble placing the base on a rock where it'll stay. Can I glue the base skeleton to a rock or use putty?

Will super glue hurt the skeleton?

Will not hurt the skeleton.

I use the Holdfast epoxy stick. Mix it until white. Put some super glue gel on it and stick the skeleton's base in to it. Put some more gel on the bottom and stick it into or onto your LR.
