fragging pom pom xenia

My pom pom xenia is starting to creep into the way of my hammer coral. i was wanting to relocate the small pieces but they are attached to my LR instead of the rubble i bought them on. any idea how to move them without damaging?

Razorblade works well but you will need to scrubb the part of rock they are on afterwords or else any remaining tissue will grow more.

I'd just let the hammer trim it down on its own. Unless you're trying to save the xenia, which is a notion you'll soon get past.

In my experience trying to control xenia growth is like trying to mow your lawn with hand clippers. Might work for a little while but eventually you get fed up and buy a lawnmower or roundup the yard.

I eventually pulled my xenia rocks and set them on the sidewalk for a couple weeks to kill it. Then for a few months just to make sure it was dead. Then smashed them with a hammer purely out of spite.

I usually just lay a rock right on top of them and wait a few weeks for them to grow onto the new rock. Then I take the new rock full of Xenias to my LFS and beg them to give me $10 credit!
