Fragging red people eaters - advice?

I have a small colony of red people eaters in my nano and it seems like they are not growing too fast under my 8 watt LEDs. I'm planning on fragging a small piece of them off and sticking it in my 48 gallon tank with T-5s. What is the best way to frag these off of the rock and what sort of growth should i expect from them under T-5s?

This is the colony about two months back. It has doubled in size since then

IMO...that is not too bad of a growth rate. My RPE's have never been extremely fast growers. Are you looking to take the whole colony off the rock, or just a few? If the whole colony, take the rock out and either chisel it off or get a large pair of wire cutters and start breaking the rock underneath the zoas. RPE's have been pretty forgiving to me when fragging.

Just a few. My local LFS had a colony for a while and it looked like it had at least three or four new polyps on it every week.
