Fragging rhizo?

Can you frag a rhizo? I'd like to know before I buy one. So I can frag it and sell half to lighten the load. :D

I'd also like to know how fast they grow..

Like SWC said, it can be done. The flesh heals pretty quick and will generally begin eating within two weeks, but it will take years for any noticable skeletal growth.
 
No, at least not as a Dendrophyllia would. They are very different in growth pattern and speed than them (I'm assuming that's what you're referring to when mentioning popping off babies). Rhizotruchus typus is a solitary animal that doesn't form colonies.

With that said the one's that I've seen fragged look awesome when they're fully opened. It's hard to tell that they've even been fragged once the tissue heals.
 
The rhizo on top was fragged at cherry corals (I think Austin helped):
